Minor update 19


I am getting ready to release game on steam, so i have spent couple of days trying fix any remaining issues i could find. Mosty small graphical imperfections that i was too lazy to fix earlier, but i also managed to find handful of gameplay related bugs. Health bar in now wider for bosses so that player could see more clearly how much damage they are dealing. Also added more impact effects for enemy bullets.

Note: There is some steam extension related files in this version. It should still work even without steam, but just in case you get some error please let me know.

Changes:

  • increased width of boss & miniboss healthbars (to make it easier to see how much damage you are dealing)
  • adjusted position of health bar for some of the flying bosses
  • added clash sound effect when hitting enemy barrier
  • added impact effect when enemy bullets hit walls
  • added impact effect when deflecting enemy bullets
  • added impact effect when arrows, darts and water hit walls
  • added shooting effect for cactus boss
  • changed pitch of some of the miniboss screams
  • increased projectiles maximum distance from player from 1100 > 1500
  • reduced maximum time of helicopter & ufo launcher projectiles from 10 > 8 seconds
  • reduced fishermen shooting distance (hooking distance remains same, but they will walk closer to player)
  • ufo launcher now pulls factory arena bosses properly (before arena update they were partly inside wall, so i had disabled pulling)
  • shooting is now prevented in metrostation


Gameplay fixes:

  • fixed homing piercing/bouncy cactus launcher not homing properly after landing
  • fixed triple bow dealing less damage than intended
  • fixed zone specific weapons not appearing as random drops in arenas
  • fixed fisherman boss using throwing attack from too far
  • fixed player getting pushed by helicopter curse while trapped
  • fixed being able to shoot in shop areas if exited level while holding charged weapon (bow,cannon etc...)
  • fixed cursed hook taking items not intended to be hooked yet
  • fixed some of the projectiles not dissapearing when far away from player (projectiles can still go off the screen for a while, but some of the homing piercing weapons could go through all enemies on the level so there has to be limit)
  • fixed melons sometimes falling off the map when you killed fish in water


Graphical fixes:

  • fixed some weapon description boxes being wrong size
  • fixed prisoner speechbubbles briefly appearing at wrong size
  • fixed fish hallucination sometimes appearing wrong way round
  • fixed hunters traps appearing as enemy traps while in air
  • fixed final boss and factory arena boss corpses sometimes briefly turning around
  • fixed some enemies sliding while in throwing animation
  • fixed explosions appearing behind prison cells
  • fixed some of the enemy sprites not being centered correctly
  • fixed stun icon appearing too high with some enemies
  • fixed incorrect flygun stats in logbook
  • fixed cursed hook not being properly positioned for some weapons
  • fixed cave entrance being off by 1 pixel
  • fixed pirate boss sometimes holding shotgun wrong way round
  • fixed ufo curse being active when entering loop while curse mod is active (this caused ufo key being visible after beating 4th loop even before it had been unlocked)
  • fixed enemy projectiles appearing under weapon drops (sometimes you couldnt see bombs from curse that would spawn behind weapons)
  • fixed final boss barrier being partly under wall
  • railguns shock effect now follows railguns position
  • fixed watergun's shocking effect lasting for too long
